There is great concern for the welfare of Carmel, who disappeared from her home in Crawley, Sussex on 23rd May 1998.
It is thought for certain that Carmel travelled to Brixton in London, as she used to live near there in Peckham.
Since Carmel disappeared, there has been a new addition to the family. Carmel's older sister, Mandy - who Carmel is very close to - gave birth to a baby boy on the 5th of December 1998.
Before Carmel disappeared she had left school, but had plans to return to college and gain qualifications.
Carmel dreamed of travelling and often talked about wanting to work in the travel industry.
She is 5ft tall with black bobbed hair and brown eyes. She has a Mediterranean complexion (being half Maltese) and a two-inch scar in the middle of her forehead.
