Madame Tussaud's

Madame Tussaud's is launching a special Halloween Scare School for half-term. The actors who play the deranged serial killers in Chamber Live! will be teaching the tricks of the terror trade and springing a few spooky surprises along the way.

Warwick Castle

Britain's Greatest Medieval Experience gives visitors a grisly insight into crime and punishment in the Middle Ages.

Witness the implements of medieval punishment and torture on display from  October 18 until November 2, included in entry price. Pre-booked tickets on 0870 442 2000 or at www.warwick-castle.co.uk.

Alton Towers

Halloween festivities including Terror at the Towers: Bloodfest Banquet and Spooktacular on Ice: Circus of Halloween, running from October 18 until November 2.

There is also an electrifying fireworks display to try and exorcise the Park and rid it of the Spooks. Catch the fireworks finale on 25th, 26th, 31st October and 1st, 2nd November.

Park entrance tickets include entrance to all Halloween events and prices start at £24.50 for adults and £20.50 for kids under 12. Call the box office now to reserve your places on 08705 204060.

The Dungeons - York, Edinburgh and London

Prepare yourself for some dead good horror at the Dungeons' festival, featuring a special Halloween show with trick or treat with a twist, live creepy crawlies and a plague of rats.

Runs in London from October 21 to 27, and at Edinburgh and York from October 14 to November 3. Tickets details at www.thedungeons.com.

Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park is launching a series of special Fright Nites. From October 27 to November 2 the park will open from noon until 11pm.

There's a triple bill of extreme scream entertainments - two horror mazes, called the 3D Freakshow & The Freezer, and new for 2003, the Ultimate Horror Movie - featuring the scariest moments from the scariest horror films with SSFX (special scare effects)!

Chessington Family Park

Meet Chessington's Halloween characters, including witches wizards and cheeky Jink at the Halloween Hocus Pocus from October 17 to November 2.

Lancaster Castle

Enter the Halloween spirit with a guided tour through the grim history of the castle. Fancy dress optional.

Camelot theme park

On November 1 and 2, visitors to Camelot in Lancashire can watch a torch-lit jousting tournament and fantastic firework display to themed music, in the spooky world of King Arthur.

Legoland Windsor

Join in an amazing firework spectacular based on hit animated movie Bionicle: Mask of Light, from October 24 to 26 and November 1 and 2.

Ormesby Hall, Middlesbrough

Halloween Haunts takes place at the Hall on October 26, featuring wizards, witches and warlocks, and with storytelling, best lantern and costume competitions.
