What shape should you go for and how to care for your glasses
The number one tip for choosing the right glasses to suit your face is to phone a friend.
When choosing glasses always take someone with you who knows your true personality, someone who can tell you the truth and someone who won’t make you look a real burke!
The general rule is to avoid the facial shape you already have. So if you have a round face, don't choose round frames!
Also if you have bags under your eyes choose a small frame or tinted lenses to conceal them and if you feel claustrophobic wearing specs choose a rimless frame to give you a feeling of more space.
Stop! Wait for your new prescription
Remember never buy your frames until you’ve got your new prescription and wear your contacts when you’re trying on your new frames so you can see what you’re doing … they’re over here.
Spectacle care
Once you’ve invested in your new specs look after them. Never dry clean your specs with a cloth you’ll just rub the dirt and grit onto the lenses and scratch them.
Instead rinse them with a squirt of washing up liquid and cold water and leave them to dry.
