Gordon Brown has made it into a list of the world's 100 sexiest men - with the top place handed to Take That.

The aspiring Prime Minister even pips Arctic Monkey Alex Turner, 21, and singer Pete Doherty, 27, in this year's top 100.

Mr Brown, a newcomer in the list who at 55 is the oldest sexiest man, takes 97th place in the survey of more than 10,000 women.

The reformed members of Take That relight female fires in joint top place, followed by Bond hunk Daniel Craig.

Last year Brad Pitt scooped the top spot, but the Hollywood star and father-of-three has now dropped to seventh place.

Kate Moss's boyfriend Doherty plummeted from 18 in 2006 to 100 in this year's rankings, in the poll for NW (New Woman) Magazine.

Prince Harry, in 34th place, is now ahead of his older brother Prince William,who is down 12 places to 37.

The youngest person in the top 100 is Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, 17, who is estimated to have a personal wealth of £14 million, at number 82.

Tom Cruise drops nine places to 60, Kylie's boyfriend Olivier Martinez falls 31 places to 41, and Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho descends from six last year to 38.

The Chancellor's possible future electoral rival for Number 10, David Cameron,takes 87th place, up from 92 last year.

X Factor judge Simon Cowell makes the list for the first time, in 96th place.
