The Lakes Estate in Bletchley is known locally as the "Baby factory" because a staggering 59 in every 1,000 girls aged 15-17 have babies.
This compares to a national average of 42 - a figure which puts Britain comfortably ahead of our European neighbours.
Effective strategy?
Britain's sky-high teenage pregnancy rate comes despite a much vaunted £138 million drive to halve the teenage pregnancy rate since 1999.
Overall in England, the rate per 1,000 girls went up slightly from 42.4 to 42.6 between 2002 and 2003. That amounted to some 39,350 young girls missing out on their education.
The Government have moved the focus away from moralising at children, to teaching them about contraception and how to avoid sexually-transmitted diseases such as Chlamydia.
However, rising rates of conception and infection have put a question mark over the effectiveness of that strategy.

Brook Advisory Serviceis the only national voluntary sector provider of free and confidential sexual health advice and services specifically for young people under 25.
The centre claims that one of the problems in this country is that sex education is patchy - different schools have different approaches and there needs to be a widespread policy.
There are 17 Brook Advisory Centres in the UK and you can walk in without an appointment for contraception and sexual health advice.
Family Planning Association (FPA) and your local Family Planning Clinic - can give you expert information on anything sexually related, including contraception, emergency contraception (morning after pill) STIs, pregnancy and abortions.
You can even get free condoms and free prescriptions for the pill from your local Family Planning Clinic.
Your local GP - you can always talk to your GP about anything to do with sex and contraception, although the great thing about Family Planning Clinics is that their doctors deal with those issues all the time, so you can get great advice and you've no need to be embarrassed.
