Palomar 1540

This is the very latest in laser treatment to treat wrinkle, acne scars, unwanted pigmentation and photo damage.

The 1540 laser by Palomar uses many microchannels (deep columns of light) to penetrate deep into the dermis far below the outer most skin layer, this causes deep collagen production and contraction thus remodeling the shape of the face.

Just as important as the treated areas are the areas of skin that are left untouched, the fractional treatment allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area was treated at once, using the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tissue around the damage skin

Also during treatment the outer surface of the skin is cooled by the patented sapphire tip eliminating pain and leaving the outermost layer of skin in tact acting as a barrier to the elements while the deeper tissues heal and tighten.

There is very little downtime following the treatment (1-2 days of slight swelling) so no reason to miss work.

Fraxel

This is one of the most popular treatments available on the market and very popular with celebrities in the US, in fact it is one of the most popular pre-Oscar treatments.

The face is covered in a blue dye - The blue dye highlights the contours of the face, the laser is attracted by the blue dye and targets the most wrinkled areas. 

When it is first done the skin will swell and go red - however, it only takes a couple of days for the redness and swelling to go down.

Additionally, topical anaesthetic is required 45 minutes prior to the application of the laser because of the pain associated with the treatment and there is about 7-10 days of peeling and swelling associated with the treatment.

Titan

This is a Light Based solution for skin tightening.

The Titan procedure is a safe non-surgical process that uses infra-red light to tighten skin and reverse the signs of ageing.  

It works by heating the dermis to cause the collagen to contract.

This can also stimulate the long term collagen production.  Great for the face and neck but excellent for post baby tummies and saggy knees. (Demi Moor has famously wanted surgery on her knees - could this have worked?)
