Soccer Aid's football legends and celebrities are ready to kick off! Find out how to get tickets

The football legends and celebrities all playing in Soccer Aid 2008 on Sunday at Wembley Stadium have begun training, and pitch antics have certainly been eventful!

Team England were taking training a lot more seriously than their rest of the world counterparts, with Rest of World manager Kenny Dalglish and celebrity player Patrick Kielty sneaking off from training for a round of golf.

Rest of the World Captain Gordon Ramsay spent much of the training session watching the England progress from the stands but didn't seem too worried about their ability.

Gareth Gates injured

England celebrity hopeful Gareth Gates was the first injury of training, pulling tendons in his left hand and leaving the training session with an ice pack and in visible pain.

Meanwhile, Harry Potter actor Tom Felton confessed that he is nowhere near match fit. "I thought I was going to be physically sick out there on the pitch," he confesses. "Its so hard keeping up with them but Graham Le Saux in particular has been great giving out some advice."

Ant and Dec made a surprise appearance at training and had a kickabout with Newcastle legend Alan Shearer. Commenting on the current situation at Newcastle United with Kevin Keeghan, England manager Harry Redknapp said:

"I don't know what's going on but Kevin Keeghan is a top man and deserves to be treated with the upmost respect. They have so much support up there and it's not fair to be dragged through the newspapers. It's such a shame. Hopefully they can get it all sorted out."

Rivalry

The rivalry between Brian McFadden and Jonathan Wilkes was stirred at training. Brian said: "Gordan is extremely competitive so along with him, I'll try and do my best to keep team spirits high and really make everyone competitive on the night so we're all angry and ready to go.

There's no love lost there between us (Brian and Jonathan Wilkes) and on the pitch I think there's a few unsettled scores to be fixed up."
