The secret announcement that Westlife mentioned after their webcast last Monday is that they're going to be going on tour in 2008! Find out all the tour dates below.
Westlife's new single is titled "Home" and the band have a new album - their 9thto date! The album will be released on 12th November, and "Home" will hit the shelves in just two weeks time (29th October).
The new single is a cover of the Michael Buble classic, who coincidentally joined us on the sofa only last week! It's been almost a year since the release of their last album, and the boys are visiting to tell us what they've been up to; and they'll also be giving a performance of their new single...

The Westlife story so far...
- Westlife formed in July 1998, with the members Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Brian McFadden
- They were signed by Simon Cowell and are currently managed by Louis Walsh
- 1998 opened for the 'Backstreet Boys' concert in Dublin. Later that year, they won Best New Tour Act at the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party
- three singles went straight to #1: "Swear It Again", March 1999; "If I Let You Go", August 1999; "Flying Without Wings" October 1999
- First number one artist of the new millennium: their double-A-side single, "I Have a Dream" / "Seasons in the Sun" knocked Cliff Richard's "The Millennium Prayer" off the top spot November 1999: first album 'Westlife' reached number two
- April 2000: "Fool Again" reached number one
- November 2000: duet with Mariah Carey on the Phil Collins classic "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" and the ballad "My Love" (both reached number one)
- Broke an unexpected record, having their 7 debut singles in the top of the UK charts
- November 2000: 2nd album "Coast to Coast" (4th biggest selling album of the year in UK)
- In 2001: launched their first world tour, unofficially nicknamed "The No Stools Tour", because of the band's reputation of performing perched on stools!
- November 2001: 3rd album "World of Our Own"
- Singles from this album: "Uptown Girl", "Queen of My Heart" and "World of Our Own" all went to number one
- This album led to their 2nd tour (over Europe and UK)
- November 2002: release of ''Greatest Hits album, 'Unbreakable - The Greatest Hits Vol. 1', amidst rumours of a split
- October 2002: first single from this album, "Unbreakable"
- 2003: toured the UK and Europe with the greatest hits, and still shrugged off rumours of a split
- September 2003: released 'Hey Whatever' reached number four
- November 2003: released 4th studio album 'Turnaround' (reached number one)
- 'Turnaround', included the hit singles "Hey Whatever", "Obvious", and their twelfth #1 single, a cover of Barry Manilow's "Mandy"
- 2003: won 'Record of the Year' for the 3rd time in 5 years
- 9 March 2004: Bryan McFadden left the band to devote more of his time to solo projects as well as his family life with British TV personality and former Atomic Kitten member Kerry Katona and their two children, Molly (born in 2001) and Lilly Sue (born in 2003). This was just 3 weeks before Westlife were due to embark on their fourth UK & Europe tour
- November 2004: released 'Allow Us to Be Frank', a Rat Pack-inspired album. Westlife didn't release a single from this album
- Before the album release, Westlife jetted up and down the UK to find "the perfect fan" to help promote their album and, after X-factor style auditions, they found Joanne Hindley (who later appeared on X-factor)
- 2006: signed a brand new FIVE ALBUM deal with Sony/BMG
- November 20th 2006: released their 8th studio album, 'The Love Album', consists of all covers of love songs - biggest selling album in 2006 for SonyBMG, selling 1 million copies
- First single from 'The Love Album' was a cover version of Bette Midler's classic "The Rose", which became their 14th UK number one single (the third-highest in UK history, behind Elvis Presley and The Beatles!)
- Sold more than 35 million records by end of 2006 in over 20 countries worldwide
- 2 February 2007: Awarded the 'Best Irish Pop Act', (a public voting category), at the annual 'Ireland Meteor Awards' for the 7th consecutive year
- 21 February 2007: kicked off 'The Love Tour' in Perth, Australia. The tour took in other cities in Australia, before moving on to South Africa, the UK and Ireland, ending in Dublin on 3 May. The band played its last major concert of 2007 at Carlisle, UK on Sunday 12 August
- Westlife have performed duets with some of the biggest names of the music industry, including Mariah Carey, Donny Osmond, Lulu, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Christian Castro, Ronan Keating and more recently Delta Goodrem
- Claudia Schiffer and Vinnie Jones have also starred in their music videos
- AMERICA - Westlife have not managed to truly break the United States market - "Flying Without Wings" peaked at number 10 in the US when American Idol winner Ruben Studdard released it after winning season 2 of the show
- In 2003: went to Nashville to film a TV documentary and recorded a song originally performed by country music legend Kenny Rogers, "Daytime Friends", which won them much praise
- Only artist/group to win 'Record of the Year' in the UK four times
- Received 28 platinum discs each for their 8 albums
- 36 million records sold worldwide
- Two BRIT Awards
- An MTV Europe Award
- Biggest selling Arena act ever, holding the record for the most concerts held at Wembley Arena, an incredible 23!
