The Osmonds - Long lived success
The Osmonds have been performing in front of worldwide audiences for almost 50 years. They have practically lived on a stage, thrilling many millions of people with their brand of entertainment.
They started as a group of cute youngsters (Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay and later Donny and Marie), with a mixture of musical styles ranging from barbershop to pop, and are famed for their close harmonies.
Their assault on the UK began in some style, with a Command Performance for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the London Palladium in May 1972. Few watching would have expected that to be the start of the phenomenon that came to be known as "Osmondmania".
The early 1970s saw hit after hit; classics from 'Love Me For A Reason' to the rocking 'Crazy Horses'. They have sold millions of albums and have several gold and platinum records to their credit. They have broken records for sell out performances once held by the Beatles and Elvis, and have also won numerous awards.
Jimmy's popularity soared with his recent appearance on ITV1's primetime show 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!', complete with smuggling Hummy Bear, and which led him to a respectable fourth place.
Once in a Lifetime Rewind Tour - UK dates
