Boyband Blue have exclusively revealed on GMTV that they will be doing a second live gig this summer - find out more

Boyband Blue will be reforming for two gigs this summer.

Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa and Simon Webbe have reunited especially to perform at Capital FM's Summertime Ball and at the Silverstone Classic Festival (as revealed on GMTV this morning).

Duncan James said "We're absolutely so ecstatic to be back together. We met up a couple of weeks ago to talk about it and we are so excited. I think we're going to enjoy it even more the second time round."

Reunion

The band, whose debut single All Rise reached Number 4 in the UK charts in May 2001, sold 13 million albums worldwide and won two Brit Awards.

After the band split in 2005 all four went on to release solo albums.

James also tried his hand at TV presenting and acting, recently starring in Channel 4 sit-com Plus One.

Both Costa and Webbe appeared in ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, while Ryan competed in Hell's Kitchen in 2007, but quit the show after just three days.

James, who has also competed in Dancing On Ice, starred in West End musical Chicago and it was recently announced he has been signed up to star in the new West End stage show of Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre in London.

Summertime Ball

Blue will be joining Lionel Richie, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Akon, The Saturdays and Calvin Harris for Capital FM's Summertime Ball at London's Emirates Stadium on Sunday June 7.

Capital FM will be broadcasting live from the venue on the day and the station is making a donation of £100,000 to Help A London Child from the proceeds of the event.

Tickets are on sale NOW.

Silverstone weekend

Blue will also be performing, with the Pussycat Dolls, at the Silverstone Classic Festival on Friday 24th July 2009

Duncan James said: 'We are really excited to be getting back on stage together and we love the Pussycat Dolls, so Silverstone will be a double treat. We understand the stadium there can take over 25,000 people so we do hope that loads of our fans will come and see us".

Simon Webbe added, "It's such a cool venue to play and Duncan and I are also getting our racing licenses so we can enter a celebrity charity fun race there too. It looks like a really cool weekend with Classic Cars, Racing and Harley Davidson's."
