Learning is such an important part of growing up it makes sense to make it fun. Here are some ideas to get you started...

  • Kids need to enjoy learning, so as challenges crop up in everyday life, encourage them to question them.
  • Ask open ended questions without simple 'yes' or 'no' answers. These will make your children think and discuss!
  • Try playing fun counting games. Something as simple as adding up the shopping bill together will help to stimulate the brain!
  • Test your children's memory and observation skills.
  • To help improve geography, a game of 'hunt the city' with an atlas is great fun and can get everyone excited.
  • A jigsaw puzzle will help develop your child's logical thought and problem solving skills.
  • Recent research has shown that playing games such as Simon says and musical statues help your child to control their impulses and improve their developmental skills that can help them in later life.
