Holly Willoughby may have pipped rivals to the post in landing her dream job on This Morning, but in a recent poll to find the nation's yummiest celebrity for Maryland cookies, Fern Britton proved that she is still the viewers favourite, beating Holly with 34% of the vote compared to 24%

Research to identify the nation's yummiest personalities asked people to rate celebrities based on how fun, attractive, lovely, kind, warm and charitable they are.

And it seems as though Holly has big shoes to fill when she hits the sofa next month the quirky study went on to reveal that Fern and Phillip Schofield make the yummiest couple according to a whopping 61% of people who took part.

Jules Oliver had also better take note husband Jamie and Nigella Lawson were voted the second yummiest would-be couple by 38% of people, proving that Brits must think with their stomachs by pairing these two celebrity chefs together. Kilimanjaro Climb buddies Alesha Dixon and Gary Barlow also fared well with 21%.

Yummiest male celebrity

It seems Philip cant do any wrong in the publics eyes after also being voted the yummiest male celebrity by over a third of voters (36%), closely followed by TV presenters Vernon Kay (32%) and Ben Shephard (29%). Although, when it comes to sitting down for a cuppa and a cookie, chatty man Alan Carr is the celebrity most would like to join them.

As a tribute to the top ten yummiest male and female celebrities, Maryland has commissioned food artist, Prudence Staite to create all of their faces on Maryland cookies using yummy ingredients choc chips and delicious golden syrup.
