Get the lowdown on GMTV's newest presenter Emma Crosby

Emma Crosby joined GMTV as a main presenter in January 2009. She co-presents GMTV with Andrew Castle (Thursday, Fridays, and alternate Wednesdays 7.00am – 8.35am).

Emma was born in 1977 and grew up near Newbury, West Berkshire. After obtaining a 2:1 from the University of Leeds, Emma studied at the University of Cardiff's School of Journalism.

In 1998 Emma started her career as a producer at BBC News 24. She became a newsreader at London's Radio News Direct and LCBC in the summer of 1999.

In September 1999 Emma joined The Money Channel as reporter and newsreader, before moving, eighteen months later, to London Tonight and Meridian Tonight as a reporter.

In July 2001, Emma joined CNBC Europe and became a presenter on European Market Wrap. She also reported for CNBC US' flagship breakfast show, Squawk Box, and presented the early breakfast show, Wake Up Call, live from Times Square in New York.

Emma joined Sky News in June 2003 and presented the breakfast show – Sunrise. A year later she became Sky`s Business presenter, covering high-profile business and financial stories. In addition, Emma regularly co-presented the channel's weekday Sky News Today. Emma was on-air when Glasgow Airport was attacked by terrorists and her anchoring of the event helped win the channel a BAFTA News Award.

Emma lives in London and in her spare time enjoys yoga and skiing.
