Andrew Castle joined GMTV as a presenter in 2000

Andrew Castle is a GMTV presenter who has occupied the famous GMTV sofa as an anchor for almost a decade.

He is a former British Number One tennis player, who turned professional in 1986 after completing a marketing degree in the USA. He is also a double Olympian, having been a member of Great Britain's Olympic Teams in Seoul in 1988 and Barcelona in 1992. 

After retiring from the sport, Andrew joined Sky Television in 1992 to present their tennis coverage. He has presented numerous golf and tennis tournaments for Sky including the U.S. P.G.A. Tour, P.G.A. European Tour and the 1995, 1997 and 1999 Ryder Cups.

Since 2003, Andrew has worked alongside John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors and Boris Becker at The Championships, Wimbledon. He is the BBC's lead commentator throughout Wimbledon fortnight, culminating in the Men's Singles Final, which he has commentated on for the last seven years.

He hosts the ITV1 game show Divided which was recommissioned for 2010 and he also hosted Perseverence for the same channel in 2005.

He was a contestant on the 2008 edition of Strictly Come Dancing and has tested himself on Mastermind, Masterchef, A Question of Sport and Beat the Star. Later on in 2010 Andrew will be seen frozen and challenged to his limit on the toughest reality show ever, details embargoed at the moment. 

He is also a very popular draw for after dinner speaking and has hosted numerous leading national award ceremonies.

Andrew is one of the most experienced live broadcasters in the UK, equally adept at grilling politicians to conversing with Hollywood starlets. He has interviewed everyone from Tony Blair to Joan Rivers, the Rolling Stones to Miss Piggy and Tom Cruise to Jordan.

Andrew is married with two daughters and lives in South London.
