Michelle Morrison joined GMTV in November 2003 as a correspondent and a newsreader

Michelle, 26, left Liverpool John Moores University in 2001 with a First class BA (Hons) in Journalism.

She spent three months at the Scottish Mirror as a trainee reporter whilst still at university, before joining the Greater Manchester Police Press Office in May 2000 as press information officer.

From September 2000-September 2002 Michelle worked as a video journalist/reporter for Channel One Television.

She joined BBC Look North as a broadcast journalist in September 2002 where she presented live and pre-recorded reports, news bulletins and occasionally the main programme.

Since working at GMTV, Michelle has covered a number of diverse stories for the breakfast TV station. Recently, Michelle has reported on the G8 Summit, the evacuation of Brits from Lebanon and the 2006 foiled terror plot.

She has interviewed Sylvester Stallone and Charlize Theron, Elle Macpherson, Ben Affleck and Rachel Weisz amongst others from the world of showbiz and has also presented GMTV's annual travel series, 'Great Escapes' from South Africa and Namibia, Thailand and Turkey.

Michelle is single and lives in London. In her spare time she enjoys musical theatre and travels back to her native Scotland as often as she can.
